The Shrubberies School visited PIB Insurance for a two hour visit to give students real-world insight into the insurance sector and build confidence in accessing an office environment.
What Happened
Students:
- Welcomed by the friendly team
- Given an overview of how insurance plays a role in everyday life
- Met staff from different roles during a guided tour, focusing on entry level roles and teamwork
- Took part in a hands-on activity designed to build confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Had the opportunity for a Q & A session
Staff:
- Planned an interactive 2 hour workplace visit which was age and SEND appropriate
- Shared experiences and career pathways
- Engaged directly with students with a good understanding of their specific needs and challenges
Impact
